Margaret Belle DeLancey, of the Community at Rockhill, West Rockhill Twp. and formerly of Perkasie, PA, passed away Friday, August 7, 2020, at Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Twp. She was 92.
She was the wife of 36 years of the late Dr. Donald DeLancey until his passing on March 2, 1986.
Born in McKeesport, PA, she was the daughter of the late William and Rosella (Elliott) Wunderley. She attained her Nursing Degree from the Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing, Pittsburgh, PA, in 1949.
A Registered Nurse, Mrs. DeLancey worked in the family dental practice for many years until her retirement.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Perkasie. She served as a Choral Director for First Baptist Church of Perkasie as well as Bethel Baptist Church, Sellersville, PA. She also volunteered in missionary aid over the years.
A published author, Mrs. DeLancey's interests included creation science, music, traveling and participating in archeological digs. She also served as a cancer support group leader.
She is survived by four children, David DeLancey, of Quakertown, PA, Rebekah Trittipoe and her husband Gary, of Bedford, VA, Daniel DeLancey, of North Charleston, SC, and John DeLancey and his wife Sue, of Glenshaw, PA; seven grandchildren, Brooke Morita and her husband Bryce, Adam DeLancey, Caleb Trittipoe, Joel DeLancey, Seth Trittipoe and his wife Pam, Hannah Ginther and her husband Jay, and Rachel DeLancey; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Roselaine West and Faith Snyder. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, William, Robert and Reuel Wunderley.
Graveside Services with interment in Sellersville Cemetery, Sellersville, will be held privately at the convenience of the family. A Memorial Service will be announced at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to ABWE International, P. O. Box 8585, Harrisburg, PA 17105, with notation for Karolyn Kempton Memorial Christian Hospital in Togo, West Africa.
Arrangements are by the Bernard Suess Funeral Home, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, PA.
