Jane R. McKown, 98, of West Rockhill Twp., passed away on February 12, 2019 in the Peter Becker Community in Franconia Twp., PA.  She was the beloved wife of 61 years to the late Paul H. McKown who died in 2005.

Born in Apollo, PA, she was the daughter of the late Robert R. and Amy (Klingensmith) Rosensteel.

She was employed as an administrative associate for Pennsylvania National Insurance Company, and became the first female insurance adjuster in the State of Pennsylvania.

Mrs. McKown was a longtime member of Pennsdale Trinity United Methodist Church where she played piano and organ and directed the church choir.  A seamstress, she loved sewing, and making wedding dresses.

She is survived by her son, Marvin McKown and his wife Linda of Telford, and three grandchildren:  William, Brian and Tim.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 1:00 PM in the Pennsdale Trinity United Methodist Church, 658 Village Rd., Pennsdale, PA 17756.  Arrangements are by the Sadler-Suess Funeral Home, Telford.
