Yvonne Marie (Young) Thomas, of Perkasie, PA, passed away Thursday, July 2, 2026, at her home surrounded by her family after a six-year battle with breast cancer. She was 47.
She was the loving wife of David Thomas. The couple had celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary on October 13, 2025.
Born in St. Marys, PA, she was the daughter of Diane (Wegemer) Young, of St. Marys. A 1997 graduate of Elk County Christian High School, St. Marys, she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Relations from the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford, Bradford, PA, in 2001.
Prior to being a stay-at-home-mom, Yvonne had been employed as a Behavior Health Program Coordinator and a Foster Care Coordinator with Access Services, Fort Washington, PA for eight years until 2015.
She was a member of Peace Tohickon Lutheran Church, Perkasie, PA, where she volunteered with Vacation Bible School.
Yvonne was a previously a volunteer for Cub Scouts Pack 1 Sellersville, serving as a Den Leader, Popcorn Kernel and Membership Coordinator for the Scouts.
An avid reader and passionate Philadelphia Eagles football fan, she loved the outdoors, camping, and especially sitting by the campfire. She also loved the beach including her family’s annual vacations to the Outer Banks and Myrtle Beach. She was a fan of the Dave Matthews Band and attended several concerts with her friends. She also loved playing cards and games with her kids.
Surviving with her husband and mother are two children, Christopher and Elizabeth Thomas who were her world; a sister, Virginia “Ginny” Krizmanich and her husband Louis, of Wexford, PA; and three nieces and nephews, Leila, Emma and Ethan Krizmanich. Yvonne was also survived by her Aunt Rosemary Ford of Buford, GA and was a loving aunt and great aunt to several nieces and nephews on her husband’s side of the family.
Family and friends are invited to Yvonne’s Life Celebration to be held from 6:00 to 9:00 PM on Friday July 17, 2026, at the Suess-Gahman Funeral Home & Crematory, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, PA. The family requests that those attending her Life Celebration wear Philadelphia Eagles attire to honor her passion for the Eagles and the strength she showed each and every day. Go Birds!
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Peace Tohickon Lutheran Church, 100 Old Bethlehem Road, Perkasie, PA, with a visitation hour for family and friends from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
