Wilmer B. "Louie" Lewis, of Franconia Twp. and formerly of Perkasie, PA, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Elm Terrace Gardens, Lansdale, PA.  He was 86.

He was the loving husband of Jean A. (Hensel) Lewis.  The couple had celebrated their 64th Wedding Anniversary on September 19, 2023.

Born in Sellersville, PA, he was the son of the late Robert and Mabel (Boyer) Lewis.  He was a 1956 graduate of Pennridge High School, Perkasie, PA.

Wilmer proudly served stateside with the U. S. Marine Corps from 1957 to 1959.

He was employed as a meter reader for the Perkasie Borough Electric Department for 33 years until retiring in 1999.  Then, he drove cars for auction for Manheim Auto Sales, Hatfield, PA, from 2004 until 2020.

A former member of the Loyal Order of Moose No. 1539, Sellersville, PA, Wilmer was a sports enthusiast who loved bowling, golfing and playing tennis.  He enjoyed camping and fishing, especially in Canada.  Wilmer took pleasure in tending to his koi pond as well as landscaping.  He was fond of going to the beach, particularly in Wildwood Crest, NJ, and Topsail Island, NC.  And, he loved trips during the fall to New England, West Virginia and Tennessee.

Surviving with his wife are two children, Michael S. Lewis and his wife Cynthia, of Hilltown, PA, and Karen L. Rush and her husband Brian, of Perkasie, PA; four grandchildren, Stephanie Grandjean and her husband Matthew, Jonathan Lewis and his wife Nicole, Brittany Ockershausen and her husband James, and Monica Thomas and her husband Ta'riq; and five great-grandchildren, Vivian, Beau, Ellie, Quinn and Lucy.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Clifford and Norman Lewis.

His Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at St. Andrew's United Church of Christ, 615 East Walnut Street, Perkasie, PA, where family and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 Am.
