Obituary

William R. Stout, 98, of Souderton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at Lehigh Valley Health Network - Hospice, Allentown. He was the beloved husband of the late Elizabeth (Hackman) Stout, married 69 years at the time of her passing in 2015.

Bill was a very proud US Army veteran. He served during World War II as part of the 27th US Army regulatory station as a technical sergeant. He spent time serving in France, Germany, and Belgium.

Born in Norristown, he was a son of the late William L and Elizabeth (Richards) Stout. Bill graduated with an associate degree in 1971 from Penn State University. He worked as a spring design engineer for Hunter Spring - Ametek, Hatfield for over 25 years. He later retired from John Evans, Lansdale.

He was a Member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Souderton. In his free time, he enjoyed golf, bowling, playing cards (especially poker), model trains, model airplanes & trout fishing. But he most enjoyed spending time with his five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He is survived by two sons: Bill Jr. (Deb) of Waldoboro ME., Ron of Souderton, and a daughter Cindy Weierman (John) of Hatfield. His grandchildren, Jack, Cari, Dana, Craig, and Katie, great grandchildren, Isabel, Connor, Hayley, and Emerson.

Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 10:00 AM in the Sadler-Suess Funeral Home, 33 N. Main Street, Telford, PA. Family will receive friends from 9:30AM until the start of the service at 10:00AM. Interment with military honors will be rendered in Washington Crossing National Cemetery at 11:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to: Honor Flight, Inc., P.O. Box L-4016, Columbus, OH, 43260-4016.
