William Carl Smith, of Hilltown Township and formerly of Sellersville, PA, passed away suddenly on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at his home.  He was 75.

Born in Abington, PA, he was the son of the late Franklin B. Sr. and Catherine A. (Lapradd) Smith.  He was a 1966 graduate of Wissahickon High School, Ambler, PA.

He was a U. S. Army Veteran.

Mr. Smith was employed as the Secretary to the Superintendent of the Wissahickon School District, Ambler, for 35 years until retiring.

A television enthusiast, he especially enjoyed watching British sit-coms.  Mr. Smith was an avid reader, particularly of Sherlock Holmes books.  A bourbon drinker and collector, he frequented the Brick Tavern and The Pub, both in Quakertown, PA, his favorite places to dine.

He is survived by a brother, Franklin B. Smith, Jr., of Perkasie, PA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret A. Becker, and a sister-in-law, Beverly Smith.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
