William J. "Bill" Boyd, of Hilltown Twp., PA, passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at his home.  He was 78.

He was the loving husband of the late Allison Brawley who died April 14, 2011.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late George James and Frances Alice (Gallagher) Boyd.  He was a 1962 graduate of the former Bishop Kenrick High School, Norristown, PA.

He was a U. S. Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War, stationed at the former Loring Air Force Base in northeastern Maine during the mid-1960's.

Bill owned and operated Bill Boyd's Auto Parts, Hilltown Twp., PA, for 52 years.

A tennis and skiing enthusiast, Bill enjoyed fine dining and traveling especially to Florida, Aruba and Vail, Colorado.  Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and his role as "Popsicle" to his grandchildren.

He is survived by three children, Kelly L. Boyd, of Philadelphia, PA, Tracy P. Boyd and her partner, Krickette Wozniak, of Seattle, WA, and William J. Boyd, Jr. and his wife Terri, of Philadelphia, PA; six grandchildren, Claire, Grace, and Frances Sylvester, and Oliver, Sadie and Calvin Boyd; and four brothers, Richard Boyd and his wife Roseanne, of Collegeville, PA, George Boyd and his wife Vivian, of Plymouth Meeting, PA, Michael Boyd, of Collegeville, and Geoffrey Boyd and his wife Margaret, of Collegeville.  Along with his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Patricia Vargo and Claire Carrington, and two brothers, Joseph and Thomas Boyd.

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 100 Broad Street, Hilltown, PA, where family and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:30 AM.  Interment will follow in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Hilltown.
