William W. "Bill" Boorse, formerly of Silverdale, PA, passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. He was 94, just a month away from his 95th birthday.
He was the loving and devoted husband of Natalie (Nascimento) Boorse. They were married for 65 years before her passing on April 4, 2022.
Born in West Rockhill Township, he was the son of the late Paul Sydney and Marguerite Stauffer (Wismer) Boorse.
Bill was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving as an electrician stationed at Camp Cavite in the Philippines in 1953 to 1954.
He was a proud member of the Steamfitter's Local #420 of Philadelphia working steadily as a welder and pipe fitter until his retirement in 1993.
He was a life member of the Silverdale Volunteer Fire Company, serving as a firefighter and later as a trustee. Bill loved to ski and was able to do so until the age of 80. He and his wife Natalie loved to travel. They traveled to Italy three times but really enjoyed traveling the East Coast from Maine to Florida. Nags Head on the Outer Banks, North Carolina was their favorite place to go. His last big drive was to Maine at the age of 89.
Until the end of his days, his one wish was to be able to ride his motorcycle again, a British Matchless, which he gave up when he got married and started a family.
He is survived by two daughters, Caroline Fosbenner and her husband Steven, of Coopersburg, PA and Catherine Boorse, of Sellersville, PA; two grandchildren, Elissa Hart and Eric Fosbenner and two great grandsons, Benjamin and Braden Hart. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jack Boorse and his sister, Lois Ball.
