Walter Deebel, 88, of Souderton, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday February 17, 2023.

He was the beloved husband of the late Phyllis E. (Maurer) who preceded him in death in 2021

Born in Ringtown., PA, he was a son of the late William Russell and Elizabeth (Kline) Deebel.

Walter served his country in the U.S. Army.

He was employed and Merck & Co. from 1959 until his retirement in 1991 where he had worked as a forklift operator.

Mr. Deebel was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Telford.  In his free time, he enjoyed gardening, tending to his roses, and working around his house. Walter enjoyed dining out and he and Phyllis were known to enjoy traveling and taking numerous cruises to many different locations. Walter was also well known as a stock market aficionado.

Walter is survived by his brother Donald and his wife Marlene of Sellersville, sisters Carol Thomas of Telford, and Ruth Briggs of Douglasville. Walter is also survived by many close family members and loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday February 24 at 1:00PM in the Sadler-Suess Funeral Home, 33 N. Main St., Telford, PA 18969.  Family will receive friends from 12-1:00 PM prior to the service.  An additional viewing will be held on Monday, February 27, 2023 from 12:00-1:00PM at the Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home 412 W Main St, Ringtown, PA 17967.  Interment will follow in the Old White Church Cemetery, Ringtown, PA.  Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 107 W. Lincoln Ave., Telford, PA 18969.
