February 2, 1942 – January 11, 2024
Walter M. Bealer, of Perkasie, PA, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Grand View Hospital, Sellersville, PA. He was 81.
He was the loving husband of Marion "Sue" (Norton) Bealer. The couple had celebrated their 20th Wedding Anniversary on August 20, 2023.
Born in Pleasant Valley, PA, he was the son of the late Earl and Mary (Cressman) Bealer.
Mr. Bealer was employed as a truck driver and foreman for the former Graebel Van Lines, Morrestown, NJ, for 30 years until retiring in 2012. Following his retirement, he worked part-time for the Eastern Auto Parts Warehouse for a number of years.
He was a former member of Springfield Evangelical Lutheran Church, Pleasant Valley.
Mr. Bealer was a life member of the Quakertown Fire Company No. 1, Quakertown, PA, as well as the Silver Creek Athletic Association, Springtown, PA.
A member of the Nase-Kraft American Legion Post No. 255, Sellersville, PA, Mr. Bealer volunteered with the Funeral Detail Honor & Color Guard. An avid hunter and accomplished cook, he was a member of the North Penn Gun Club, Trumbauersville, PA, and the Perkasie Owls Club Nest No. 1224, Perkasie.
Surviving with his wife are four children, Kevin Bealer and his wife Rhonda, of Royersford, PA, Jodi DeVito and her husband James, of Warrington, PA, Tina Bealer, of Quakertown, PA, and Jason Bealer and his wife Blythe, of Telford, PA; two stepsons, John Robert Janney, of Sellersville, and Christopher Robert Janney, of Quakertown, PA; eight grandchildren, Brianna Bealer, Kaitlynn Bealer, Michael DeVito and his wife Neda, Analisa DeVito, Gabrielle DeVito, Daniel Bealer and his wife Ava, Jacob Bealer and Julia Bealer; four step grandchildren, Jesse Andrews, Jack Janney, Serena Janney and Galen Janney; a great-grandson, Henry DeVito; and a sister Alice Lear, of Fountain Hill, PA.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Eichlin, on January 10, 1985, two brothers, Paul and Raymond Bealer, and a sister, Edna Shup.
Family and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Services to be held 11:00 AM on Friday, January 19, 2024, at the Suess-Gahman Funeral Home & Crematory, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, PA.
The Family will also receive friends at his Viewings from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, January 18, 2024, or from 10:00 to 11:00 AM on Friday, January 19, 2024, both at the funeral home.
Interment will follow his Funeral Service on Friday, January 19, 2024, at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Pleasant Valley, PA.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Nase-Kraft American Legion Post No. 255, 75 N. Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960.
