Obituary

Timothy C. Howells, of Doylestown, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the Buckingham Valley Rehab & Nursing Center, Newtown, PA.  He was 80.

He was the loving husband of Kathryn A. (Buzzard) Howells.  The couple had celebrated their 57th Wedding Anniversary on April 15, 2024.

Born in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late John T. and Dorothy (Hancock) Howells.  He was a 1962 graduate of Mount Carmel High School, Mount Carmel, PA.

Tim was a proud U. S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, serving from 1962 to 1965 and having been stationed in Germany.

He began his professional career as an x-ray technician with Doylestown Hospital, Doylestown, PA, where he worked for 27 years until retiring there in 1994.  Then, he worked in the same capacity for Lehigh Valley Hospital at its Muhlenberg and Cedar Crest locations in Allentown, PA, for 10 years until retiring in 2004.

Tim was an active 50+-year member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge, Doylestown, PA, attaining his Pilgrim Degree with the organization.

Tim especially enjoyed shooting pool, camping and visiting Knoebels Amusement Resort in Elysburg, PA.  He was an avid fisherman and hunter in his younger years.

Surviving with his wife are two children, Thomas E. Howells, of Doylestown, PA, and Holly B. Debus and her husband Michael, of Macungie, PA; two granddaughters, Kimberly Howells and Gabrielle Pettit; two great-grandchildren, Odin and Freya Ruscitti; a twin brother, Thomas Howells, of Virginia; several nieces and nephews; and his dog, Gigi.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Howells, II, in 1971, and a brother, J. Barry Howells.

Graveside Services with interment in Plainfield Cemetery, Pen Argyl, PA, will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
