Obituary

Thomas E. Starner, Sr., of Perkasie, PA, passed away Monday, July 11, 2022, at St. Luke's VNA Hospice House, Bethlehem, PA.  He was 75.

He was the husband of the late Sandra L. (Weaver) Starner who died July 5, 2005.

Born in York, PA, and raised in Westminster, MD, he was the son of the late Jacob C. and Helen S. (Clouse) Starner.  He was a graduate of Westminster High School, Westminster.

He was a proud U. S. Marine Corps Veteran of the Vietnam War, serving stateside from 1967 to 1969.  He continued his service with the U. S. Marine Reserves until being honorably discharged in 1972.

A master plumber, Tom owned and operated Starner Plumbing, Perkasie, for over 37 years until retiring in December 2021.

An avid hunter and fisherman, Tom's greatest joy was in spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by twin sons, Shawn M. Starner and his wife Tonya, of Easton, PA, and Stephen M. Starner, of Macungie, PA;  seven grandchildren, Joshua, Denashia, Matthew, Darien, Triniti, Zachary and Kara; and a great-grandson, Jaxson.  In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Thomas E. Starner, Jr., on May 5, 2017, and a brother, James Starner.

Funeral services with interment in Tohickon Union Cemetery, Weisel, PA, will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P. O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS  66675.
