Thomas Gearld Mooney, II, of Souderton, PA, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2023, at Penn Presbyterian Hospital, Philadelphia, PA.  He was 55.

He was the loving husband of Heather Dawn (Greer) Mooney.  The couple had celebrated their 26th Wedding Anniversary on May 17, 2023.

Born in Abington, PA, he was the son of the late Herbert Jr. and Joann T. (Clarke) Mooney.  He was a 1986 graduate of Archbishop Wood High School, Warminster, PA.

Along with his son, Thomas owned and operated Mooney's Training for Dog Wizards in the Harleysville area for the past year.  Previously, he worked in various sales positions.

He served as a volunteer firefighter with the Souderton, Telford and Horsham Volunteer Fire Companies and as a paramedic with the West Chester EMS over the years.  He also served with the Army Reserves.

A member of the NRA, Thomas had a great interest in guns and gunsmithing.  An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed camping and dogs.  He will be most remembered for his love for his family and his role as the family prankster at family functions famously known for dropping ice unexpectedly down others' shirts.

Surviving with his wife are three sons, William, Connor  and Ryan Mooney, all of Souderton; twin grandsons expected soon; and a brother, Herbert Mooney, III, and his wife Stacey, of Palm Harbor, FL. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Patrick D. Mooney.

His Funeral Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
