He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, an honorable member of the Greatest Generation.
Born in Montana to a Milwaukee Railroad family, he moved numerous times throughout the State and western Washington. Following High School, he began working for the same railroad until WWII caught up with him. He served in the Pacific Theater in the U.S.M.C. After the war he relocated to Philadelphia where he actively worked as an electrician and Project Foreman in the I.B.E.W. Local #98 for the next 40 years.
While living in Pennsylvania, he was an active member of the Marian Council, Knight of Columbus where he attained 4 th Degree status. When he retired, he moved to Lewes, Delaware where he became actively involved with the Indian River Coast Guard Auxiliary, eventually becoming their Commander until relocating to Dover, Delaware. While in Dover his attention turned to trains, collecting and running them on self-made train layouts, and re-developing his great talent in oil painting.
Ultimately, his travels brought him to The Community at Rockhill where he was closer to family members. While there he was able to pursue his other talent, turning strangers into friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, May 9, 2022, at 10 AM in St. Agnes Catholic Church, 445 N. Main St., Sellersville, PA 18960. He will rest in peace at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery in Springfield, Delaware County amidst other family members and friends while watching over all of us from above.
