Theresa M. Ford, of Chalfont and formerly of Philadelphia, PA, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 7, 2025, at her home.  She was 85.

She was the loving wife of 68 years of the late George I. Ford until his passing on August 30, 2019.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Marie (Ritchie) LaGrossa and foster daughter of the late Joe and Doria Mangino.  She was a 1957 graduate of Little Flower Catholic High School, Philadelphia, PA.

A homemaker, she worked for SKF Manufacturing, Philadelphia, during her early years where she met her husband.

Theresa was Catholic in faith. An avid reader, she enjoyed sewing and vacationing in Wildwood, NJ, and the Poconos.

Theresa found her greatest joy in caring for and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Her warmth, wisdom and gentle spirit created countless cherished memories for her family – memories that will be treasured for generations to come.  Her legacy is one of love, friendship, compassion and selflessness.  She leaves behind a family that was deeply blessed by her presence and will continue to be guided by the lessons she taught through her words and actions.  Theresa will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by three children, Theresa A. Bates and her husband John, of Chalfont, PA, George J. Ford and his wife Linda, of Sweden, and Bernadette T. McCarthy and her husband Paul, of Philadelphia, PA; five grandchildren, Tara Witiw and her husband Rob, Erica Nayden and her husband Brandon, Breanne Ford, Emilie Ford, and George Ford; six great-grandchildren, Robbie, Brayden, Bradley, Ellie, Blake and Molly; a brother, Joseph LaGrossa and his wife Maria, of Exton, PA; a sister, Betty Ritchie, of Arizona; a brother-in-law, Allen Ford, of Telford, PA; a number of nieces and nephews; and her granddogs, Mitch and Bodhi.  She was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Ford, in 1970; six siblings, James, Marie, Helen, Celia, Katherine and Aggie; and a sister-in-law Clare Ford.

Her Funeral Services will be held at 8:00 PM on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at the Suess-Gahman Funeral Home & Crematory, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, PA, where family and friends may call from 6:30 to 8:00 PM.

Graveside Services with interment will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 12, 2025, at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA.
