Steven T.
Price
March 2, 1963 – November 19, 2025
Steven T. Price, 62, of Chicago, Illinois, passed away on November 19, 2025, at The Citadel of Glenview Rehabilitation and Nursing Center after battling health complications related to diabetes and heart disease. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Born in Sellersville, PA, on March 2, 1963, to the late Dr. Richard and Kathleen (Schnerr) Price, Steve attended Pennridge High School where he enjoyed performing in musicals, summer theatre, and concert choir as well as the marching and jazz bands. He was also actively involved as a youth congregant at St. Stephen's UCC Church in Perkasie, After graduating in 1981, Steve enrolled at The College of Wooster, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Drama/Theatre Arts in 1985. Here, Steve continued his involvement in the performing arts, acting in numerous theatre productions and touring with the Wooster Chorus. He had the good fortune of making several lasting friendships at Wooster. Those friends continued to stay in touch and make a strong impact on his life up until the day of his passing.
Steve moved to Chicago in 1987 where he was employed by Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants for over 10 years, bartending at Fritz That's It, RJ Grunts and Di Pescara. An executive from Lettuce noticed Steve scribbling a cartoon on a cocktail napkin when there was downtime at the RJ Grunts' bar. Impressed by Steve's artistic ability, the exec hired him to create several drawings for menus and ads for the company. At this time, Stave continued acting in local theater and performing with The Edgewater Singers, a Chicago-based community chorale. He also sang in the choir at the St. James Presbyterian Church where he was an active member. In 2002, Steve co-wrote with his close friends Philip Seward and Kelli Ann Glaser a full-length musical, "Juan Peron's Hand", which eventually went into production in 2011 and can still be listened to on Spotify today.
Blessed with an uncanny ability to retain information, Steve had an extensive span of knowledge across multiple disciplines, from pop culture to literature to sports and beyond. In 2007, that passion earned him a spot on "Jeopardy" where he was a returning champion—a moment of pride that reflected both his intelligence and competitive spirit.
Despite the many health challenges Steve encountered over the last 10 years, he maintained an impressively positive and humorous outlook on life. We will remember Steve for his sharp wit, creative prowess, sentimentality and good heart.
Steve is survived by his sister, Sally (Price) Finkelstein and brother in law, David Finkelstein, MD, both of Cherry Hill, NJ; and his loving nephews and niece, Mitchell, Aaron and Natalie Finkelstein.
