Steven James Ford, of New Ringgold and formerly of Telford, PA, passed away suddenly on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at St Luke’s Hospital – Miners Campus, Coaldale, PA. He was 56.

            Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Allan W. and Clare H. (Freeland) Ford. He was a 1988 graduate of Souderton High School, Souderton, PA.

            Steve was employed as an HVAC installer for several area HVAC companies over the years. Previously, he worked for the White Birch Golf Course, Barnesville, PA.

            A sports enthusiast, he was a dedicated football and baseball fan and especially enjoyed playing golf. He loved vacationing at the beach, particularly in Delaware and Myrtle Beach. Steve loved his cats and was known for his fondness for Rosenberger’s Iced Tea.

            He is survived by his companion, Sherry Thatcher, of New Ringgold; a son, Christopher Wafi, of Atlanta, GA; two sisters, Donna Lavecchia and her husband Joseph, of Schwenksville, PA, and Jacqui Walter and her husband Dean, of Phoenixville, PA; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Allan Ford, and a niece, Ashley Dougherty.

            His Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday, June 26, 2026, at the Suess-Gahman Funeral Home & Crematory, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, PA, where family and friends may call from 5:30 to 7:00 PM.
