Stephen "C.P."
Pattison
February 17, 1956 – December 4, 2025
Stephen Pattison affectionately known to many as "C.P.", passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife and children on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Grand View Hospital in Sellersville, PA. He was 69.
He was the devoted and loving husband of Ellen (Goldstein) Burk, whom he married on May 9, 2025.
Born in Abington, PA, he was the son of the late Arthur and Y'vette (Steinberg) Pattison. He graduated from Upper Moreland High School in 1974.
From the age of 18 to 31, "C.P." worked as a butcher for Sernoff Seafoods, Shop n Bag, Genuardi's Family Markets, Clemens Markets, and Giant Food Stores. He later owned and operated "C.P.'s Metal Health" in Perkasie and West Rockhill Township, a place that reflected both his strength and his heart for people.
"C.P." proudly served the Pennridge School District as the Power Lifting Team Coach and Assistant Football Coach for 18 years. A gifted athlete himself, he was a world-record-holding weight lifter, bench-pressing an astonishing 505 pounds. He also gave countless hours volunteering with Pennridge Greenjackets Football and Pennridge Little League, shaping young athletes with the same mix of discipline, humor, and encouragement he gave his own children.
Beyond coaching and lifting, "C.P." was known for his one-of-a-kind charm, big personality, and warm, effortless humor. He loved tattoos, his dogs, the outdoors, and relaxing in the sun. He found simple joys in watching his favorite shows and movies from his beloved recliner , often with dogs by his side.
But above all, his greatest pride and purpose came from being a father, a coach, and a friend. He loved deeply and loudly—whether cheering from the sidelines, offering advice in the weight room, or lighting up at the sight of his grandchildren. Being "Pop Pop" was the role that made his heart fullest.
He is survived by his wife and his blended family of children: Tracy D. McSherry and her husband Colin of Ivyland, PA; Stephanie L. Hornung of Langhorne, PA; Stephen A. Pattison and his wife Maria of Haddon Township, NJ; Alexandra M. Pattison and her husband Aidan Rively of Perkasie; Matthew "Matty" Pattison of Manhattan, NY; and Roman L. Pattison of Perkasie; as well as his stepdaughter, Liora Burk of Franklin Park, NJ. He leaves behind seven cherished grandchildren—Kira, Gavin, Daniel "Danny," Scarlett, Isabel, Margot, and Maisie—his brother, Daniel Pattison and his wife Barbara of Abington, PA; and his sister, Sharon Tompkins of Hatboro, PA.
