Stanley Rest Jr, 86 of Telford, PA,  passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at The Birches at Harleysville, Harleysville, PA  19438.

He was the beloved husband of the late Mae E. Rest who passed away in 2021.

Stanley was a son of the late Stanley "Pete" Rest, Sr. and Sophie (Kostyk) Rest.

He attended Souderton Area High School and graduated in 1957.  He was a proud U.S. Army Veteran of the 101st Airborne Division.  He was employed as a Welder and Estimater  for Craftweld Fabrication, located in Montgomeryville, PA.  He was employed with them for 30+ years before retirement.

In his spare time, Stanley enjoyed building and racing car #14Jr. with family and friends.  Stanley also enjoyed playing golf on the weekends, gardening, watching his grass grow, taking trips with his wife Mae on his Harley Davidson and enjoyed walking his dog, Annie.

He is survived by his children Sheila Peart and her husband Jeff of East Greenville, PA and his son Stanley James Rest "SJ" and his wife Kristie of Souderton, PA.  Along with his children, Stanley is survived by his grandchildren Kyle (Emily), Joshua (Kayla), Victoria (Spencer), and Mikayla along with four great grandchildren Lance, Olivia, Tate, and Xander.  He is also survived by his sister Pauline Brandis and her husband Richard of Souderton, PA and his brother Charles Rest and his wife Shyrl of Tylersport, PA.

Funeral Services with a viewing will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025, 11:00 AM at the Sadler-Suess Funeral Home & Crematory, 33 N. Main Street, Telford PA  18969.  Family will receive friends from 10-11:00 AM prior to the service.  Interment will follow at the Trinity Cemetery of Telford, 222 East Broad Street, Telford, PA  18969 with Military Honors.

The family would like to thank Daybreak at the Birches along with the Caring Hospice staff who took care of Dad.
