Stanley Glenn Beck, formerly of Perkasie, PA, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2023, at the Community at Rockhill, West Rockhill Twp., PA. He was 97.
He was the loving husband of Cleora Marguerite "Blondie" (Stauffer) Beck. The couple celebrated their 72nd Wedding Anniversary on June 16, 2023. The couple lived in Perkasie for 70 years.
Born in Perkasie, he was the son of the late Aden Foster and Susan V. (Irvin) Beck. He was a 1944 graduate of Sell-Perk High School, Perkasie.
Mr. Beck was employed by Fischer & Porter, Inc., Warminster, PA, for 45 years, working in numerous positions including head of the Model Shop, Union President, and Senior Purchasing Agent, until retiring in 1988.
He was an active member of the former First United Methodist Church, Perkasie.
Mr. Beck was active in the Pennridge Community where he volunteered as Cub Scout Leader, was a member of the Perkasie Historical Society, and served on Perkasie Borough Council. A member of the former Pennridge Jaycees, he also served on the Bucks County Board of Elections. Perhaps his favorite activity was being the sole Filmographer for the Pennridge HS Rams football team games for over 20 years.
In his free time, he enjoyed skiing, boating, camping and playing tennis.
Surviving with his wife are two children, Glenn E. Beck, and his wife Wendy, of Bellevue, WA, and Sharyn L. MacLaughlin, of Quakertown, PA; daughter-in-law, Marianne Beck, of Lee's Summit, MO; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Gregory A. Beck; a brother, Kenneth Beck; and two sisters, Lenore Cordero and Marion Barlow.
His Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 13, 2023, at the Community at Rockhill Chapel, 3250 State Road, Sellersville, PA, where the family will receive friends and share in refreshments following the service from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family in Greenwood Cemetery, Allentown, PA.
