Shane Michael Plenderleith, of Milford Township and formerly of Perkasie, passed away suddenly at his home on Sunday, June 14, 2026. He was 49.
Born in Doylestown, he was the son of Susan H. (Brown) Baker and her husband, C. David, of Coopersburg, and the late James "Jim" Allen Plenderleith.
Shane was a 1995 graduate of Pennridge High School and attended Calvary Church in Souderton.
Throughout his life, Shane was known for his strong work ethic, entrepreneurial spirit, and exceptional craftsmanship. At just 21 years old, he became the owner and operator of Bagel Baker in Souderton. He later worked for Modern Concrete in Ottsville before pursuing his passion as a self-employed contractor. He owned and operated Elite Stamped Concrete in Perkasie for ten years and, most recently, Cornerstone Contracting for the past five years. His dedication to quality, integrity, and pride in his work left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Outside of work, Shane had a passion for gardening and took great pride in growing food to share with those he loved. He especially looked forward to canning his homemade tomato sauce each year and crafting his own wine. He loved to cook and was happiest when hosting family and friends, always making everyone feel welcome and at home around his table. He also enjoyed skiing, fishing, and camping. Gifted with his hands, Shane had a remarkable talent for building and fixing just about anything. Above all, he treasured the time he spent with his family, friends, and his beloved dog, Shadow.
He is survived by his cherished daughter, Tiffany S. Herbert, of Quakertown, whom he proudly raised as a single father. Being her father was the greatest joy and proudest accomplishment of his life. He is also survived by her husband, Alex; three brothers, James "Jim" Plenderleith and his wife, Kate, of Spring Mount, Scott Plenderleith and his wife, Megan, of Aledo, Texas, and Jason Plenderleith, of Quakertown; and eight nieces and nephews: Natasha, Hailey, Kiley, Jason, Rachel, Amber, Nate, and Logan Plenderleith.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a visitation from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at Suess-Gahman Funeral Home, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, PA. A memorial service celebrating Shane's life will follow at 3:00 p.m. A luncheon for family and close friends will be held immediately following the service.
Shane will be remembered for his generous heart, unwavering work ethic, and the warmth he shared with everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Arrangements are by the Suess-Gahman Funeral Home & Crematory, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, PA.
