Sarah J. Clemmer, formerly of Hilltown, PA, passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2021, at the age of 81.
She was the loving wife of 42 years of the late Henry J. Clemmer until his passing on December 31, 2004.
Born in the Germantown Section of Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Eugene A. and Margaret M. (Mullen) Walsh. She was a 1958 graduate of Little Flower Catholic High School, Philadelphia.
A homemaker, Mrs. Clemmer had worked for the U. S. Postal Service, Silverdale, PA, during the 1990's and 2000's.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Perkasie, PA.
Mrs. Clemmer was inducted into the Deep Run Valley Sports Association Hall of Fame. For many years she volunteered as a soccer coach, softball coach and lacrosse coach.
A member of the Donegal Irish Society and the Church Ladies at the Walnut Street Theatre, both in Philadelphia, she loved traveling especially to Puerto Rico. She enjoyed watching Philadelphia Phillies Baseball, reading, solving crossword puzzles and, most of all, G & T NFL.
She is survived by seven children, Christopher Clemmer and his wife Claudia, of Waymart, PA, Maureen C. Carman and her husband Paul, of Hilltown, Colleen Savage and her husband Thomas, also of Hilltown, Eileen M. Cunningham and her husband Gregory, of Newtown, PA, Brendan Clemmer and his wife Diana, of Kintnersville, PA, Kathleen Miller and her husband Todd, of Coopersburg, PA, and Megan Baum, of Tucson, AZ; 21 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Eugene and Thomas Walsh, and two sisters, Martha Turner and Margaret Stokes.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 100 Broad Street, Hilltown, PA 18927. Please use "Perkasie" for GPS directions.
Interment will be in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Perkasie.
Friends may call Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Bernard Suess Funeral Home, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, or Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the Church.
