Rosemarie A. Moyer, of Bedminster Twp., PA, passed away suddenly on Monday, February 21, 2022, at Doylestown Hospital, Doylestown Twp., PA. She was 68.
She was the wife of David R. Moyer. The couple had celebrated their 47 th Wedding Anniversary on May 17, 2021.
Born in Sellersville, PA, she was the daughter of the late John "Hans" and Hannelore "Lore" (Kaprolet) Michels. A 1971 graduate of Pennridge High School, Perkasie, PA, she attained her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education from Kutztown University, Kutztown, PA, and her Master's Degree in Mathematics Education from Beaver College (now Arcadia University), Glenside, PA.
Rose was employed as a teacher, predominantly in the subjects of mathematics and German, for the Plumstead Christian High School, Plumsteadville, PA, for over 20 years until retiring in 1996. While teaching at Plumstead Christian, she served as the Girls Softball Coach and as Class Advisor for several classes. She also organized and supervised the school's student biennial trips to Germany.
Then, she worked in Customer Service for UNIVEST Bank at its Hilltown office and retirement community offices over the years. She also worked on the family farm, Moyer's Village Farm, Dublin, PA, where she especially enjoyed driving the tractors and baling hay.
Rose was a member of the Living Hope Community Church, Perkasie, PA, where she was a former Youth Group Advisor, volunteered at the Visitors Center and prepared food for the Live Nativity actors.
A member of the Dublin Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and a leader in Bucks County 4-H Club, Rose served as the Judge of Elections for Bedminster Township for many years. A Pennridge Rams Marching Band volunteer, she especially enjoyed cooking, knitting, quilting and crafting. An avid NASCAR and Philadelphia Eagles Football fan, she loved her dog, "Charlie".
Surviving with her husband are two children, Rachel C. Hess and her husband Steven, of Quarryville, PA, and Jon R. Moyer, of Media, PA; two grandchildren, Lydia and Tobias Hess; a sister, Doris K. Sheaffer, of Irwin, PA; two sisters-in-law, Mary Altomare and her husband Sergio, of South Plainfield, NJ, and Jewel Moyer Lee and her husband George Lee, of Murrells Inlet, SC; two brothers-in-law, Timothy Moyer and his wife Dawn, and C. Neal Moyer and his wife Deborah, all of Dublin; and many nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Glenn R. Moyer and Frederick Sheaffer.
Her Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at the Living Home Community Church, 22H West Route 313, Perkasie, PA, where family and friends may call from 2:00 to 3:00 PM. Interment will follow in St. Luke's Union Cemetery, Dublin.
