Rose M. Kriebel, of Hatfield, PA, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2023, at the Gwynedd Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, Lansdale, PA. She was 90.
She was the loving wife of the late Jay C. Kriebel until his passing on December 27, 1975.
Born in Mount Carmel, PA, she was the daughter of the late William and Anna (Deose) Siget. She was a 1951 graduate of Sell-Perk High School, Perkasie, PA.
Mrs. Kriebel, along with her husband, owned the Jay C. Kriebel Funeral Home, Hatfield, PA, from the early 1950's, which she continued to operate following his passing, until the late 1980's.
She was a member of Heidelberg United Church of Christ, Hatfield.
Mrs. Kriebel was active in her community where she belonged to the Hatfield Women's Civic Club, the Hatfield Historical Society and The Questers. A member of the Needlework Guild, she was talented in needlepoint, embroidery, sewing and knitting. An avid cook and baker, she loved tending to her garden and playing the piano as well as cards.
She was active in sports: playing tennis, swimming at the Hatfield Community Pool, bicycle riding and bowling in a league. She will be remembered for her love for her animals, especially her poodles.
She is survived by three children, William C. Kriebel and his wife Leslie, of Franconia Twp., PA, Kevin J. Kriebel, of Hatfield, and Jill D. Kriebel and her boyfriend Thomas Zong, of Quakertown, PA; and a granddaughter, Johanna. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Anna, in infancy; and her sister, Anna Louise Siget, who died at two-years of age.
Her Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at the Heidelberg United Church of Christ, 1101 Cowpath Road, Hatfield, where family and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Hatfield Cemetery, Hatfield.
