Ronald Lee Woland, of Silverdale, PA, passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at Jefferson Lansdale Hospital, Lansdale, PA.  He was 80.

He was the loving husband of Jean E. (Smith) Woland.  The couple had celebrated their 58th Wedding Anniversary on June 18, 2024.

Born in Harrisburg, PA, he was the son of the late Charles E. and Freda S. (Hoffman) Woland.  A 1961 graduate of Halifax Area High School, Halifax, PA, he attained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Millersville University, Millersville, PA, in 1965.  He went on to attain his Master's Degree from West Chester University, West Chester, PA.

Ron was employed as a teacher by the Central Bucks School District for 31 years at its Tamanend and Lenape Middle Schools where he taught Social Studies and coached Boys & Girls Basketball and Boys Baseball until retiring in 1996.

He was a long-time active member of St. Andrew's United Church of Christ, where he was a former member and President of the Church Consistory.  At St. Andrew's, he also served on the Cemetery Committee, volunteered as an Usher, headed "The Welcomers" and the Stewardship Committee, and sang in the Church Choir.

Ron volunteered for many years with the Silverdale Fire Company, the Silverdale Recreational Association and the Deep Run Valley Sports Association.  He loved sports, reading, traveling, tending to his yard and going out to eat.  In his younger years, he was a member of the Grange.

Ron was a devoted father and grandfather who loved going on vacations with his children and grandchildren, eating out with them, and playing and watching them perform in their sports activities.

Surviving with his wife are two children, Matthew C. Woland, of Telford, PA, and Jennifer B. Stewart, of Schwenksville, PA; and two grandchildren, Avery and Christian.

His Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at St. Andrew's United Church of Christ, 615 E. Walnut Street, Perkasie, PA, where family and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.  Interment will follow in St. Andrew's Union Cemetery, Perkasie.
