Ronald Oris Andress, of Doylestown, PA and formerly of Ottsville and Jamison, PA, passed away at The Solana Doylestown, Warrington, PA on Monday, July 13, 2026. He was 88.
He was the husband of MaryElizabeth (Twist) Andress. The couple had been married for 42 years.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Thomas Andress and the late Nina (Krauss) Ramey and the stepson of Dr. Robert Frank Ramey. He was a 1956 graduate of Northeast Public High School, Philadelphia.
Ron worked in the sheet metal profession most of his life. He started as a partner and then owner of Joe Hershman Assoc., Bensalem from 1959 until his retirement in 2002. Through out those years he was able to work with his two sons, making it the family business. He was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union #19, Philadelphia.
After his retirement, he taught himself the craft of pottery. As time went on, he became involved with the Michener Art Museum, Doylestown where he had pottery on display. He also taught others the craft of pottery. Ron had a love of horses, having several of his own. He was a horseback endurance rider. He also loved to fish for trout.
Surviving with his wife are three children, Ronald Andress, Jr. and his wife Sue, of Ottsville, PA, Adam Andress and his wife Sharon, of Warrington, PA and Holly Thorrington and her husband William, of Perkasie, PA; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Robert Andress in 2007 and two brothers, Thomas and Donald Andress.
Services will be held privately.

Arrangements are by the Suess-Gahman Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Perkasie, PA.
