Obituary

Robert L. Rufe, of Plumstead Twp., PA, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at his home.  He was 66.

He was the loving husband of Deborah A. (Windholz) Rufe.  The couple had celebrated their 42 nd Wedding Anniversary on September 20, 2022.

Born in Doylestown, PA, he was the son of the late Frank L. and Naomi (Lukens) Rufe.  He was a 1975 graduate of Central Bucks East High School, Buckingham, PA, as well as the Middle Bucks Institute of Technology, Jamison, PA, where he studied small engine repair.

Robert began his professional career as a small engine mechanic with Dave's Sports Center, Doylestown, PA, where he worked from the early 1970's until the early 2000's.  Then, he worked for a number of years for the Pipersville Garden Center, Pipersville, PA, until retiring.

A model train enthusiast, especially of "N Scale", he loved attending model train shows over the years.  In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving with his wife are two daughters, Jennifer Rufe, of Stratford, NJ, and Rachael Marion and her husband Joshua, also of Stratford; two grandsons, Ian and Holden; two brothers, Lee Rufe and his wife Karen, of Quakertown, PA, and Frank "Skip" Rufe, of Doylestown; and a sister, Janette Dallas, of North Carolina.

There will be no services.
