Robert F. Lomas, 89, of Franconia Twp. passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, in his home.

He was the beloved husband of the late Irmgard  (Wolz) Lomas who preceded Robert in death in 2006.

Born in the Germantown section of Philadelphia, he was the son of the late William E. and Anna (Price) Lomas.

Robert was a proud U.S Army Veteran, having served his country for 30 years during the Cold War.

Robert was an active member of the Old Goshenhoppen Church, Harleysville, as well as Little Zion Lutheran Church, Telford. Robert and his late wife were members of the Wuerzburg Retirees Association. In his free time, he enjoyed working in his yard, gathering limbs and branches that had fallen.  He also spent time watching and caring for wildlife, which visited his yard. Robert was also known to be very generous and was an early advocate of the "pay it forward" movement. He was also very fond of yard sales and, being mechanically inclined, loved to fix things.

Robert is survived by a son, Robert T. Lomas and his wife Shirley, of Telford; three granddaughters, Jessica, Jennifer and Madeline Lomas of Souderton, a great grandson Bishop; a brother William  Lomas of Warminster and a sister, Gertrude E. Manley of Bohemia NY.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at 11:00 AM in the Old Goshenhoppen Reformed Church, 2092 Church Road, Harleysville, PA 19438. Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until time of service in the Church. .  Interment will follow in Little Zion Lutheran Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Grand View Hospital Cancer Services, 700 Lawn Ave., Sellersville, PA 18960.
