Robert George Holzerman, of Sellersville, PA, passed away Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Penn Presbyterian Hospital, Philadelphia, PA. He was 89.
He was the loving husband of the late Miriam Eileen (Groff) Holzerman until her passing on August 20, 2003.
Born in Sellersville, PA, he was the son of the late Frederick and Leila (Rosenberger) Holzerman.
He proudly served as a sharpshooter with the U. S. Army from 1956-1959, having been stationed for a year in Germany and then serving with the Army Reserves until 1962.
Mr. Holzerman was employed by Capitol Signs, Lansdale, PA, for 10 years until retiring in 1996. Previously, he worked for 30 years for the former Delbar Products, Perkasie, PA.
He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Hatfield, PA.
A former member of the Loyal Order of Moose No. 1539, Sellersville, PA, Mr. Holzerman had an extensive collection of HO Scale Model Trains. He enjoyed playing cards and bingo, and he was especially fond of taking his weekly trip to the casinos. He will be remembered most for the love and caring he had for his family, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family was everything to him.
He is survived by four children, Debra E. Kratz and her husband Kenneth, of Slatington, PA, Steven T. Holzerman and his wife Deborah, of Mohawk, TN, Gerald K. Holzerman and his wife Deborah, of Sellersville, PA, and Kevin S. Holzerman and his wife Carolyn, of Green Lane, PA; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald Holzerman, of Quakertown, PA; a sister, Catherine Holzerman, of Quakertown; and his companion, Patricia Madara. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
His Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at the Suess-Gahman Funeral Home, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, where family and friends may call from 9:30 to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Hatfield Cemetery, Hatfield, PA.
