Behn, Jr.
August 20, 1954 – April 1, 2025
Robert R. Behn, Jr., of Bedminster Twp., PA, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at his home. He was 70 years old.
Bob was the loving husband of Barbara Jean (Clinite) Behn. The couple had celebrated their 42nd Wedding Anniversary on May 8, 2024.
Born in Glen Ridge, NJ, Bob was the son of the late Robert R. Sr. and June Elise (Gardiner) Behn. He graduated with honors as 2nd Lieutenant First Platoon A-Company from Fork Union Military Academy, Fork Union, VA, in 1972. Bob attained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, in 1976. He went on to earn his Master's in Business Administration with a Minor in Finance from Seton Hall University in 1987.
Bob worked as a project manager in heavy civil construction most of his life, retiring from PKF-Mark III, Inc., Newtown, PA, in 2019.
"Bob loved his Lord and Saviour, and most of what he did throughout his life was to honor and share his love of Christ."
He was a member of Renew Bible Church, Perkasie, PA, where he served as a Trustee, Deacon and Youth Leader and taught Sunday School. Bob also volunteered at Re:Vivals Outreach Center, Perkasie. He loved spending time with young adults and mentoring young men. Bob had an active ministry helping people prepare for and finding employment.
With his avid interest in bicycling as well as his strong support for the MS Society, Bob rode in the "MS 150 Ride City to Shore" event for 25 years. Over the years, he trained many men and women to become accomplished riders. He formed a 50-60 member team that participated in the event.
Surviving with his wife are a daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Moyer and her husband Jesse, of Bedminster, PA; a foster son, Yun Qian Zhou "Joe" and his wife Eugene, of Huntingdon Valley, PA; three grandchildren, Ezra, Emerson and Elizabeth; a foster grandson, Cyrus; and two sisters, Donna Walter and her husband Eugene, of Bensalem, PA, and Karen LeBlanc, of Florida. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Barry Behn.
Family and friends are invited to attend Bob's Celebration of Life Service to be held at 4:00 PM on Friday, May 9, 2025, at the Renew Bible Church, 1600 N. Fifth Street, Perkasie, PA 18944, where there will be a gathering for food and fellowship immediately following the service.
