Richard A. Winters, of Perkasie and formerly of Doylestown, PA, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at his home.  He was 63.

He was the husband of Verdie (Logan) Winters.  The couple would have celebrated their 43 ^rd Wedding Anniversary on June 30, 2022.

Born in Doylestown, he was the son of the late Earl C. and Diana (Carter) Winters.  He was a 1978 graduate of Central Bucks East High School, Doylestown.

Rick was employed by the G & S. Building Group, Inc., Ottsville, PA, until retiring in 2020.  Previously, he worked for Histand Brothers Roofing & Sheet Metal, Doylestown, for 30 years.

A hunting and fishing enthusiast, Rick also enjoyed camping and softball.  He volunteered as a softball and soccer coach for Deep Run Valley Sports Association for many years.  A former member of Doylestown Maennerchor, he was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, especially of Philadelphia Phillies Baseball and Philadelphia Eagles Football.

Most of all, he loved spending time with his four grandchildren and attending all of their sporting events.

Surviving with his wife are two children, Richard "Ricky" Winters, of Quakertown, PA, and Renee Winters, of Perkasie; four grandchildren, Adalyde Winters, C.J. Winters, Logan Winters and Lacey Shirey; two sisters, Vicki Moffett, of Telford, PA, and Gail McCarthy and her husband Fraz, of Bedminster, PA; his dog, Tucker; and his granddog, Major.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Dawn Meshon.

A Celebration of Life Service will be announced for September 2022.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lenape Valley Foundation, 500 N. West Street, Doylestown, PA  18901.
