Richard A. "Dick" Phillips, of Silverdale, PA, passed away Monday, March 20, 2023, at Doylestown Hospital, Doylestown Twp., PA.  He was 89.

He was the husband of 54 years of the late Edith M. (Leirer) Phillips until her passing on November 11, 2017.

Born in Shamokin, PA, he was the son of the late Richard Sr. and Gertrude (Omlor) Phillips.  He was a 1952 graduate of Warminster High School, Warminster, PA.

Mr. Phillips was a proud Veteran of the U. S. Army, having served with the Intelligence Group in Germany and Lebanon during his enlistment from 1956 to 1959.

He worked in maintenance for various manufacturing firms until his retirement.

Mr. Phillips was an active member of the Pleasantville United Church of Christ, Chalfont, PA, where he volunteered cleaning the church on Wednesdays and was an avid contributor to the Church Library.

A Civil War buff, he participated in numerous Civil War re-enactments over the years.  He also was a hunting and camping enthusiast who loved traveling throughout the United States.

He is survived by a sister, Donna Warshefski, of New Jersey; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Phillips, in 1984.

Family and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Services to be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at Pleasantville United Church of Christ, 3424 Limekiln Pike, Chalfont, PA.  Interment will follow in the adjacent Church Cemetery.
