Richard D. "Arch" Michalik, of Sellersville, PA, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2022, at Temple University Hospital – Jeanes Campus, Philadelphia, PA. He was 68.
He was the loving husband of Cynthia L. (Porter) Michalik. The couple would have celebrated their 47 th Wedding Anniversary on July 26, 2022.
Born in Passaic, NJ, he was the son of the late Stanley J. and Helen M. (Smith) Michalik. He was a graduate of West Caldwell High School, West Caldwell, NJ.
Arch began his career as a truck driver with the Agway Oil Co., Colmar, PA, where he worked for several years, followed by a two-year stint with Rosenberger's Dairies, Hatfield, PA. Then, he was employed by Leidy's Meats, Souderton, PA, for 25 years until semi-retiring in April 2022, where he still continued driving one day per week.
Arch especially enjoyed tending to his hobby farm. He supported his children's interests with the Montgomery County 4-H Club. A model trains enthusiast and avid Philadelphia sports fan, he was fond of attending classic rock concerts at the Sellersville Theatre. Most of all, he loved his role of "Grandpop".
Surviving with his wife are two children, David Michalik, of Pataskala, OH, and Christine M. Anderson and her husband Ryan, of Culpeper, VA; two grandchildren, Samantha and Alexander Anderson; a brother, Thomas Michalik and his wife Candice, of Williamsburg, VA; and many other loving family members.
Family and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Services to be held at 7:00 PM on Friday, July 22, 2022, at the Bernard Suess Funeral Home, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, PA, where family and friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
