Richard R. Martin, of West Rockhill Twp., PA, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at his home.  He was 69.

He was the long-time companion of Sandra A. Carpenter.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Merril and Dorothy (Andrascavage) Martin.  He was a 1971 graduate of Methacton High School, Eagleville, PA.

Richard worked as a heavy equipment mechanic for over 50 years, most recently for Ivy Moore Construction, until his retirement.

A trains enthusiast, he was a member of the Pennsylvania Live Steamers, Collegeville, PA.  A talented cook, he was particularly fond of animals and had a love-hate relationship with his cats.  He will be remembered for his love for his family and pride in his Polish heritage.

Surviving with his companion are three children, Jason Martin and his wife Diana, of Pottstown, PA, and Eric Martin and his wife Amber, of Pottstown, and Jessica Martin and her companion Jonathan, of Philadelphia; and five Grandchildren.

His Funeral Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions in Richard's memory be made to the Bucks County SPCA, 60 Reservoir Road, Quakertown, PA  18951, or to the Suess-Gahman Funeral Home, Inc., 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, PA  18944, to help offset costs for funeral expenses.
