Richard Ward Curtis, Sr., formerly of Souderton and Chalfont, PA, passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at Dock Woods Harmony House, Lansdale, PA.  He was 95.

He was the loving husband of the late Marjorie A. (Spratt) Curtis until her passing on May 17, 1989.

Born in Conshohocken, PA, he was the son of the late Ashton B. and Marion F. (Hall) Curtis.  He was a 1944 graduate of Norristown High School, Norristown, PA.

He was a proud U. S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, having served as an IS Radio Operator.

Mr. Curtis began his professional career as an automobile salesman selling Volkswagens, at one time earning the distinction of being the #1 salesman in the country. Later, he worked for many years as the General Manager for Frankenfield Buick, Doylestown, PA, before retiring from the Ford dealership in Ottsville, PA.

He was a member of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Hilltown, PA.

An avid golfer, Mr. Curtis loved watching sports especially the Philadelphia Phillies and Philadelphia Eagles.  He also had a special interest in reading newspapers.

He is survived by two children, Richard W. Curtis, Jr. and his wife Tracy, of Bedminster Twp., PA; and Patricia A. McGuire and her husband James, of Souderton, PA; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.  In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Ashton Curtis, two brothers, William and Ashton Curtis, and a sister, Marion Clarke.

Graveside Services with interment in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Prospectville, PA, will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Living Branches Foundation, Memo Line: Dock Woods Sharing Fund, 275 Dock Drive, Lansdale, PA  19446.
