Richard R. Badman, of Perkasie, PA, passed away suddenly on Friday, January 5, 2024, at his home.  He was 88.

He was the loving husband of Faye Ellen (Meas) Badman.  The couple had celebrated their 51st Wedding Anniversary on August 19, 2023.

Born in Quakertown, PA, he was the son of the late Elmer S. and Ellen P. (Kuntz) Badman.  A 1953 graduate of Souderton High School, Souderton, PA, he attained his Bachelor's Degree in Education from West Chester University, West Chester, PA.

Mr. Badman was employed for 40 years as a teacher with the Souderton Area School District, most notably at the Indian Valley Junior High School, Harleysville, PA, until retiring in 1996.

A member of Grace Lutheran Church, Hatfield, PA, he was a former member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Perkasie.

Mr. Badman was a member of Generations of Indian Valley, Souderton, where he had been active with the center's vocal group.  A baseball enthusiast, especially of the Philadelphia Phillies, he enjoyed attending their spring training games in Florida over the years.  Most of all, he loved spending time with his children and his family.

Surviving with his wife are four sons, Ethan Richard Badman and his wife Lonna Murphy, of Verona, NJ, Derik Andrew Badman and his wife Lianne Hartman, of Ambler, PA, and Gerry Paul Mason, and Timothy Peter Mason and his wife Caroline, all of St. Augustine, FL; and three grandchildren, Dermot Badman, Brynna Mason and Zachary Mason.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Erik Ray Badman, in 1971, and a brother, Carl Badman.

There will be no services.
