"Ray" Cuppy

Raymond Thomas "Ray" Cuppy, 85, of Souderton, PA, passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at his residence, surrounded by family and friends. He was the beloved husband of Barbara Ann (High), with whom he celebrated 60 years of marriage this past January.
Born on September 12, 1940 in Limerick, PA, he was the son of the late Hazlitt W. Cuppy and Alma A. Cuppy. He was a 1958 Souderton Area High School graduate.
A proud veteran, Ray served in the U.S. Air Force. Stationed in Puerto Rico, he was an aircraft mechanic specializing in jet engines. He then went on to become a self-employed builder for 60 years, based out of Souderton, PA, and working under the name 'Raymond T. Cuppy, Custom Builder.'
He was an avid hunter and traveled the world to pursue his passion. He enjoyed socializing with family and friends.
Raymond was a member of the Safari Club International (SCI) and was the former President of the Lehigh Valley Chapter. He belonged to the National Rifle Association (NRA). He was also a member of both the Great Swamp Fish and Game Forestry Association and the Souderton Harleysville Fish and Gun Club. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion and belonged to the Sellersville Moose Club.
He is survived by his wife Barbara. He was preceded in death by his daughter Sheri Ann (Cuppy) D'Ginto, his brother Hazlitt W. Cuppy, Jr. and his sisters Jeannette Ferketich, Barbara A. Flamisch and Charlotte M. Browning.
A public memorial celebration of Ray's life will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, 11:00 AM at Sadler-Suess Funeral Home & Crematory, 33 N. Main Street, Telford, PA 18969. Friends and family may call between 10:00 – 11:00AM. A gathering will be held after the service at the Sellersville Moose Club, 301 W. Park Avenue, Sellersville, PA.
In lieu of flowers, charitable donations may be made to the American Kidney Fund, 11921 Rockville Pike, Suite 300, Rockville, MD 20852.
