Ray A. Meyer, formerly of East Rockhill Twp. and Quakertown, PA, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at Hidden Meadows on the Ridge, Sellersville, PA.  He was 84.

He was the loving husband of Dolores M. "Susie" Meyer.  The couple had celebrated their 28th Wedding Anniversary on June 6, 2025.

Born in Hershey, PA, he was the son of the late Ray Chester and Marian (Bomberger) Meyer.  A 1959 graduate of Hershey High School, he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Grace College, Winona Lake, IN.

Mr. Meyer served with the Pennsylvania National Guard in Hershey during the 1960's.

He was employed as a department store stock clerk for many years with the Wanamaker's and Strawbridge's Department Stores, Montgomeryville, PA, until retiring in 2006.

Mr. Meyer was a member of Faith Baptist Church, Sellersville, PA, where he sang in the Church Choir.

An avid reader, he will be remembered as a "bookworm".

Surviving with his wife are four stepchildren, Keith A. Schaffer and his wife Barbara, of Perkasie, PA, Kevin L. Schaffer and his wife Debbie, of Sellersville, PA, Brian P. Schaffer and his wife Joy, of Cañon, CO, and Wesley D. Schaffer and his wife Beverly, of Quakertown, PA; 11 stepgrandchildren; 27 stepgreat-grandvchildren; and a sister-in-law, Dixie R. Meyer, of Birmingham, AL.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Drew A. Meyer.

His Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 8, 2025, at the Suess-Gahman Funeral Home & Crematory, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, PA, where family and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.  Interment will follow in Durham Cemetery, Riegelsville, PA.
