Obituary

Ralph A. Heckenswiler, of Sellersville, PA, passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at LifeQuest Nursing Center, Milford Twp., PA.  He was 87.

He was the loving husband of the late Rita (Godshall) Heckenswiler.

Born in Souderton, PA, he was the son of the late Walter A. and Dorothy A. (Mantz) Heckenswiler.  He was a 1956 graduate of Pennridge High School, Perkasie, PA.

Mr. Heckenswiler served with the U. S. Air Force and the Army National Guard of Pernnsylvania, 228th Supply & Transport Battalion, Sellersville, PA.

He was employed as an expeditor and office worker for the former U. S. Gauge Division of AMETEK, Inc., Sellersville, PA, for 47 years until his retirement.

He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Telford, PA.

A trap shooting enthusiast, Mr. Heckenswiler was a member of several of the local gun clubs.  An avid reader, he was a Civil War aficionado.  In his early years, he enjoyed riding horses and competing in horse shows.  He will be remembered as "a simple man".

He is survived by two children, Dawn N. Rotzell and her husband Phil, of Milford, PA, and Ralph Shane Heckenswiler, of Sellersville, PA; five grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, John Cash, in 2001, and a brother, Barry Heckenswiler and his wife Lesley.

His Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at the Suess-Gahman Funeral Home & Crematory, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, PA, where family and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
