Bullock
July 5, 1939 – September 7, 2023
Peter Keith Bullock, pastor, therapist, historian and artist, passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family at his home in Perkasie, PA, on Thursday, September 7, 2023. He was 84.
He was the loving husband of Lynn (McKee) Bullock. The couple had celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary on November 4, 2022.
Born in Williamsport, PA, he was the son of the late Edward and Doris (Beckett) Bullock.
A 1957 graduate of South Williamsport High School, Mr. Bullock attained his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Divinity from Furman University, Greenville, SC. He went on to attain a Master's Degree in Divinity from Eastern Theological Seminary, St. Davids, PA, and a second Master's Degree in Arts & Psychology from Chestnut Hill College, Philadelphia, PA.
He proudly served with the U. S. National Guard in Fort Knox, Kentucky.
Mr. Bullock began his working career as a barber in Williamsport. Then, he served as a minister with the Oxford Circle Baptist Church, Philadelphia, during the 1970's and 1980's, and later with the Willow Grove Baptist Church, Willow Grove, PA, and the Resurrection Lutheran Church, Horsham, PA. From 1990 until retiring in 2022, he worked as a psychotherapist operating his own practice in Doylestown, PA.
He was a member of Carversville United Church of Christ, Carversville, PA.
A talented diorama and fine arts artist, Mr. Bullock will also be remembered as a historian of Native American culture. An avid reader, he was a passionate Penn State University and Philadelphia Eagles football fan.
Surviving with his wife are four children, Lisa Jones and her husband, Michael, of Reading, PA, Laureen Katana and her husband Drew, of Glenside, PA, Jennifer Bullock and her wife Barbara, of Jenkintown, PA, and Peter E. Bullock and his wife Kim, of Runnemede, NJ; four stepchildren, David Urbany and his wife Joanne, of Hatboro, PA, Douglas Urbany and his wife Janice, of Meadowbrook, PA, Matthew Urbany and his husband Philip, of Medellin, Colombia, and Miranda Brooks and her husband Bryan, of Portland, OR; two grandchildren, Annabelle Jones, of Reading, and Joshua Urbany, of Hatboro; and a brother, Larry Bullock, of Detroit, MI.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Dennis Bullock.
There will be no services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Carversville United Church of Christ, P. O. Box 26, Carversville, PA 18913.
Arrangements are by the Suess-Gahman Funeral Home, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie.
