Paul Marlin Bergey, 74, passed away on August 28, 2023.  He was born August 14, 1949 in Sellersville, PA to the late Harvey and Ruth Bergey.

Paul spent most of his life on the family farm and farming as a second occupation along with driving truck.

Paul attended Franconia Mennonite Church all of his life till moving to Florida.  An avid baseball fan, Paul enjoyed both playing slow and fast pitch baseball for the Franconia Mennonite Church Leagues.  He was also the captain of the slow pitch team.

Paul loved Philadelphia's Phillies and Eagles.

Following retirement, he came to Sarasota in 2020 from Telford, Pennsylvania.  He enjoyed being a partner, the fellowship and services at the Remnant Church of Sarasota.  He loved volunteering at the Remnant Cafe for the Homeless and fishing on the Flying Fish Fleet.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 52 years Jane (Kauffman); sons Paul Bergey Jr. and his companion Krissy; Randy Bergey and his wife Jodie; and Daniel Bergey and his wife Simone; grandchildren Blake, Sarah and Nathaniel.

Paul was predeceased by his infant son Jeffrey; and brother Dean Bergey and his wife Gloria; and brother Lowell Bergey.

A Celebration of Paul's Life to be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 12:00 pm at the Franconia Heritage Restaurant, 508 Harleysville, Pike, Telford, PA 18969.  Interment will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 10:00 AM in the Franconia Mennonite Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Sadler-Suess Funeral Home, Telford, PA.
