Nancy Mattson Trinkle, formerly of Ridge Valley (West Rockhill Twp.), PA, passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at the Souderton Mennonite Homes, Souderton, PA.  She was 95.

She was the wife of 49 years of the late Wilmer S. Trinkle, M.D., until his passing on December 10, 2000.

Born in Decatur, IL, she was the daughter of the late Frank Coates and Mabel Ruth (Royce) Mattson.

Mrs. Trinkle graduated from Media High School, Delaware County, PA, in 1946, and continued her education at Ursinus College, where she graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1950.

She worked as a statistician at Curtis Publishing Company, Philadelphia, PA, while her husband was in medical school, until her children were born.  While her husband was in the Army Medical Corp, they all lived in Mainz, Germany, for two years.

When they returned to the States, they moved to West Rockhill, and she returned to school to obtain her Master's Degree in Elementary Education at Kutztown University, Kutztown, PA.  She was an elementary school teacher in the Pennridge School District for 21 years, retiring in 1989.

Mrs. Trinkle was a member of St. Stephen's United Church of Christ, Perkasie, PA, where she sang tenor in the Church Choir for many years.  She also sang with the Mendelssohn Club of Philadelphia for 19 years, traveling with them to cities throughout the United States, Puerto Rico, England, France, Germany and Austria.

She is survived by three children, Stephen H. Trinkle, of Pottstown, PA, Jeffrey C. Trinkle and his wife Elizabeth, of Macungie, PA, and Lianne R. Suzuki, of Los Angeles, CA; three grandchildren, Ian Trinkle and his wife Liz, of Brisbane, Australia, Ryan Trinkle and his wife Alison, of San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Erik Trinkle and his wife Keara, of Philadelphia, PA; and three great-grandchildren, Jeffrey, Emma and Sissy.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, William R. and Phillip Larry Mattson, and a sister, Kathryn Glick.

Her Funeral Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
