Nancy Barndt, of Pennsburg, PA, passed away suddenly, but peacefully, Thursday, May 12, 2022, at her home.  She was 70.

She was the loving wife of David K. Barndt with whom she celebrated their 50 ^th Wedding Anniversary on March 25, 2022.

Born in Sellersville, PA, she was the daughter of the late William Derstine and Marie Charles Rice. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Telford, PA.

An avid traveler, she and Dave explored many historic, scenic and celebrated locations at home and abroad.  When not traveling, Nancy cherished spending time in their cabin at Bear Creek Lake near Jim Thorpe, PA with her family and friends.  Her ability to create a warm, welcoming and comfortable home was unparalleled.

Most of all, she loved visiting with her grandchildren.  Traveling throughout the state to watch them compete in various sports and perform in musical events was one of her favorite pastimes.  They will always remember her for being the "perfect Grammy" with the best soft warm hugs, back scratches and "Grammy snacks".

Surviving with her husband are three children, Ryan Barndt and his wife Jennifer, of Quakertown, PA, Lisa Rodenberger and her husband Craig, of Landisville, PA, and Melissa Haines and her husband George, of Radnor, PA; eight grandchildren, Jacob, Samuel, Aiden, Alyse, Connor, Claire, Penelope and Patrick; two sisters, Gail Moll and her husband David, of Souderton, PA, and Eileen Lee and her husband Charles, of Hatfield, PA; and a sister-in-law, Barbara Rice.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Rice.

Her Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at St. Pauls' Evangelical Lutheran Church, 107 West Lincoln Avenue, Telford, PA, where family and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.  Interment will follow in Leidy's Cemetery, Souderton, PA.
