Myrtle B. Gilbert, of Ottsville, PA, passed away on Monday, June 23, 2025 at Phoebe Richland Health Care Center, Richlandtown, PA.  She was 89.

She was the wife of the late Eugene H. Gilbert who passed away on February 2, 2016.

Born in Warrington, PA, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Myrtle (Bleam) Reichenbach.  She was a 1953 graduate of Sell-Perk High School, Perkasie, PA.

Myrtle worked as seamstress, working for the School Bus Parts Company, Plumsteadville, PA, until retiring in 2015.  Prior to that, she was with Ted Covington Towing, Ottsville, the Cherry Top Drive In, Pipersville and Fretz's Pants Factory, Doylestown.

She was a member of St. Matthew's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Kellers Church, PA, where she taught Sunday school for many years.

Myrtle was a former member of the Ottsville Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary and was a former Girl Scout Leader.  In her spare time she enjoyed baking, crocheting, camping and taking family trips.

She is survived by two children, Kenneth E. Gilbert and his wife Jessica, of Hilltown, PA and Jo Ann Burmeister and her husband Douglas, of Pipersville, PA; three grandchildren, Elizabeth and her husband Brandon, Lauren and her husband Mark and Kenneth and his wife Brittany; six great grandchildren, Micaiah, Savannah, Tyler, Everly, Egan and Izzy.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, William Bergey.

Her Celebration of Life service will be announced at a later date.  Interment will be held privately in Kellers Church Cemetery, Kellers Church, PA.
