Palacio
May 27, 1937 – February 2, 2024
Moises Palacio, of Perkasie, PA and formerly of Huntingdon Valley, PA, passed away surrounded by his family on Friday, February 2, 2024. He was 86.
He was the husband of Anna (Lewandowski) Palacio. The couple celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary on June 26, 2023. It was their strong faith in God that carried them through the ups and downs as they built their life together.
Born May 27, 1937 in Santa Marta, Colombia, he was one of seven children of the late Jesse and Dilia (Daza Borelli) Palacio.
Moises immigrated to the United States of America in 1957 at the age of 20. He cherished the freedoms of America and created a better life for himself as an entrepreneur who owned and operated M. Palacio Carburetor, a successful automotive specialty shop in Philadelphia, PA for more than 30 years until retiring at the age of 70.
He loved celebrating life with his extended family and friends and often spent many Saturdays playing his favorite sport, soccer. He always loved photography and was well known as the family camera man. He loved plants and spent countless hours gardening with his wife, Anna. His most favorite hobby was attending yard sales and finding incredible deals. In his later years, he most enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, who affectionately referred to him as either "Abuelo" or "Mr. Jamus". They were the love of his life. He enjoyed watching their sporting events and dance recitals. Time spent with them gave him great joy.
Surviving with his wife Anna are three children, Mark Palacio and his wife Kristen, Anna Waskevich and her husband Anthony and John Paul Palacio; four incredible grandchildren, Luke, age 13, Lexie, age 7, Lilah, age 5 and Margot, age 2; a sister, Magdalena Sickler and many nieces, nephews and cousins both in the United States and Colombia.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his dear son Joseph Palacio, siblings, Alicia, Ilyse, Jesse, Nelly and Victor and his mother-in-law, Felcia Lewandowski.
His viewing will be held from 8:00 to 9:30 AM on Friday, February 9, 2024 at the Suess-Gahman Funeral Home, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, PA.
