Michael F. Townsend, of Quakertown, PA, passed away Monday, July 18, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family. He was 62.

He was the husband of Mary J. Gemmell. The couple celebrated 45 years together.

Born in Abington, PA, he was the son of the late Allen R. and Marie (Lazowicki) Townsend.

Mr. Townsend worked as a diesel mechanic for RHS Trucking, Quakertown, PA, where he was employed from the early 2000's until his retirement in the mid 2000's. Prior to this he worked for Coopersburg Kenworth Trucking Company, Coopersburg, PA.

He was a member of Ridge Valley Rod and Gun Club and former member of Great Swamp Gun Club. Mr. Townsend loved hunting, fishing, camping, archery, and deep sea fishing. In his earlier years he joined a soccer club and coached soccer in Quakertown, PA.

Along with his wife, he is survived by a son Michael S. Townsend and his wife Jacqlyn, of Lansdale, PA; two daughters Tanya R. Mullin and her husband James J., of Madison Twp., PA, and Heather L. Swartz and her husband Timothy L., of Quakertown, PA; five grandchildren, Cadan, Logan, Emily, Jimmy, and Margaret; a sister Donna Dunn and her husband Gordon, of Waterville, ME.

His Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 AM on Monday, July 25, 2022, at The Bernard Suess Funeral Home Inc., 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, PA, where family and friends may call from 10:00 AM- 11:30 AM. Interment will follow in St. Stephen's U.C.C. Cemetery, Perkasie, PA.
