Merle E. Royer, of Perkasie, PA, passed away suddenly on Monday, August 17, 2026, at his home. He was 68.

            Born in Sellersville, PA, he was the son of the late Harry W. and Violet N. (Kline) Royer. He was a 1977 graduate of Pennridge High School, Perkasie.

            Merle was employed as an automotive detailer for Faulkner Mercedes Benz, Doylestown, PA, for the past eight years. Previously, he worked in the same capacity for Kia of Lansdale, Lansdale, PA. Earlier, he worked as a custodian for the Pennridge School District, Perkasie, and, before that, he was employed by the former RCA Co. in Sellersville, PA.

            He was a life member of the Perkasie Fire Company.

            Merle was a model train enthusiast, building his own layout and volunteering for many years with the WK&S Railroad, The Hawk Mountain Line in Kempton, PA. He loved owning his motorcycles and fast cars and was especially fond of drag racing. In addition to vacationing at Lake Wallenpaupack, he enjoyed the thrill of riding rollercoasters and, in his younger years, rollerskating.

            He is survived by a daughter, Morgan D. Royer, of Perkasie; two brothers, Edward L. Kline, of Perkasie, and Terry L. Royer and his wife Eileen, of Sellersville; and a sister, Lois M. Martin, of Quakertown, PA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother William L. Royer.

            The Family will receive friends at his Viewing to be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday, August 24, 2026, at the Suess-Gahman Funeral Home & Crematory, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, PA.

            Family and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Services to be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in St. Andrew’s Union Cemetery, Perkasie.
