Mary (Boyd) Snyder, age 88, of Quakertown, Pennsylvania, formerly of Colmar, Pennsylvania, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2024, at Grand View Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late David L. Snyder, with whom she shared 61 years of marriage.  Born in Pitt County, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late James H. and Mamie E. (Joyner) Boyd.

Mary was employed by the R.T. French Co, Souderton for over 25 years.  Upon their closing, she moved to the former North Penn Hospital, Lansdale campus where she was employed in their environmental services department for 10 years. In her retirement years, she volunteered many hours at Care & Share Thrift Shoppes in Souderton.

Mary was a member of Finland Mennonite Church and enjoyed participating in the senior luncheons. Mary was an avid reader and loved to keep active throughout her life. She enjoyed snow birding in Florida for 12 years with Dave and rarely missed a water aerobics class in their Florida community. She loved the sunshine and always enjoyed time at the beach, the pool, or walking at the park. She was known for her hard work and determination. Mary loved through service to others and always made sure her family was taken care of.

One of her favorite memories was the Saturday night dinners she hosted for many years for her children and grandchildren.  Mary was a great cook and baker and was also known for her fondness for ice cream, especially chocolate ice cream. She was truly a joy to be around, and her contagious laughter and heartfelt hugs brought warmth to many. In her final days, she was surrounded with family as her life was celebrated and her love was recounted. She entered Heaven peacefully, and her memory will shine as bright as her smile.

Mary is survived by three sons and two daughters:  Michael David Snyder of Greenville, WV, Gary Lee Snyder and his wife Yvonne of Schuylkill Haven, Rev. Jeffrey Allen Snyder, of Mt. Joy, Cathy Ann Haberle and her husband Brian of Quakertown, Cheryl Lynn Ingram and her husband Greg of Quakertown, ten grandchildren:  Christopher, Rachel, Daniel, Gretel, Kyle, Katrina, David, Katelyn, Colin, Kelly, seven great grandchildren:  Emily, Liam, Lily, Lincoln, Olivia, Emma and Dominic.  She was preceded in death, by grandson, Joshua.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday January 11, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Finland Mennonite Church, 1750 Ziegler Rd., Pennsburg. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the time of the service. Interment will be held privately in the Northumberland Memorial Park, Sunbury, PA.
