Obituary

Mary P. Perry, of Perkasie, PA, and formerly of Mesquite, TX, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at Doylestown Hospital, Doylestown, PA.  She would have celebrated her 76th birthday on January 29th.

She was the loving wife of Floyd E. Perry.  The couple had celebrated their 57th Wedding Anniversary on June 1, 2025.

Born in Athens, TX, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Mary (Haney) Carver.  She was a 1968 graduate of Brownsboro High School, Brownsboro, TX.

Mrs. Perry was employed as a receptionist for the Mesquite Independent School District, Mesquite, TX, for 23 years until retiring in 2018.

A former President of the Mesquite Schools Parent-Teacher Association, she served two terms on the Mesquite ISD School Board.

Mrs. Perry was a 47-year member of the Rodgers Baptist Church, Garland, TX, where she taught Sunday School, sang in the Church Choir and was active with the Marriage Mentors Ministry.  Following the couple's move to Pennsylvania, she was a member of Renew Bible Church, Perkasie, for the past four years.

An outdoors enthusiast, she enjoyed hunting, fishing as well as tending to her yard and gardens.  She loved vacationing in Colorado; but, her greatest joy was in spending time with her family.

Surviving with her husband are three children, Hauna Y. Mitchell and her husband Greg, of Perkasie, John E. Perry and his wife Mishele, of Wylie, TX, and Heather R. Hampton and her husband Seth, of North Pole, AK; eight grandchildren, Ryan Mitchell and his wife Brittany, Justin Mitchell, Andrew Mitchell, Evan Perry, twins John Michael and Grayson Perry, Paxson Hampton and Addilyn Hampton; and two brothers, Hugh Carter Carver and Lyndon Carver and his wife Judy, all of Brownsboro, TX.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a four-year-old sister, Barbara Ellen Carver.

Her Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at the Faith Baptist Church, 268 S. Broad Street, Chandler, TX, where family and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.  Interment will follow the service in the Rock Hill Cemetery, Brownsboro, TX.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 13, 2026, at the Renew Bible Church Ministry Center, 1600 N. Fifth Street, Perkasie, PA, where family and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mrs. Perry's memory may be made to one's church or favorite charity.

Arrangements are by the Suess-Gahman Funeral Home & Crematory, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, PA.
