Mary Jean Lista, formerly of Hilltown Twp., PA, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2022, at the Community at Rockhill, West Rockhill Twp., PA.  She was 88.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Mary (Voso) Lista.  She was a 1951 graduate of West Catholic High School for Girls, Philadelphia.

Miss Lista was employed as an accountant for Celotex, Inc., Pennsauken, NJ, for 35 years until retiring on March 1, 1991.  Following her retirement with Celotex, she worked part-time in accounting for Richard J. Galeone, DDS, Lansdale, PA, and Grafton Piano & Organ Company, Souderton, PA, until retiring in 2008.

She was a member of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Hilltown, PA.

An avid reader, Miss Lista especially loved watching birds, flower gardening and tending to her extensive vegetable garden.  She also loved the Philadelphia Phillies but her greatest joy was in spending time with her family and organizing family picnics and reunions.

She is survived by a brother, Louis Lista, of Hilltown Township; and many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Daniel Lista; and three sisters, Marian Rishkofski, Emilia Dezzi and Eleanor Talio.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 100 Broad Street, Hilltown, PA, where family and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.

Interment will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 1, 2022, in Holy Cross Cemetery, 626 Baily Road, Yeadon, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, P. O. Box 31, Hilltown, PA  18927.
